National Gallery of Art, East Wing

A new model this year of the national gallery made entirely from plant parts.

After spending some time at the pollinators and model train display, we went to the conservatory at the U.S. Botanic Garden to see their indoor “Seasons Greenings” holiday exhibit where they feature models of DC landmarks made entirely of plant parts and a huge collection of poinsettias. I didn’t photograph all the landmarks again, just the new ones; the others appear at the very beginning and towards the end of this gallery http://pbase.com/helenpb/america_return_washington_2_botanic

Beautiful flowers, and i wonder about that conversation being carried on behind those green leaves.
