Taking the unusual break

I haven’t posted many pictures of Queenie when we’re out for a walk because we usually don’t do anything exciting or worthy of photographing. However, when we were in the park today, where she usually just sniffs around looking for that “perfect spot,” she just plopped down on the grass and posed for a photo.

She has basically lived on our main floor, where the living room, dining room and kitchen are located and has chosen to not go upstairs, where our bedroom and offices are. (She also has no interest in going to the basement, either.) But last night, when I was setting my alarm clock, I heard a noise in the bedroom and thought it was Tim. Much to my surprise, it was Queenie, who spent the night on the carpet next to my side of the bed. I think she’s finally starting to feel at home with us! We do hope, however, that jumping on our bed isn't the next step ;-).

A different perspective, posted earlier:

Better keep an eye on her. Dogs are masters of encroachment.
Lovely photo.

I wouldn’t mind her on the bed in the winter!

Oh my, she is so beautiful Helen!! I think it just takes awhile for some dogs to feel at home and ready to explore. She is settling in well it sounds like. V
