Unnerving

I recently posted a picture of leaning supports in the parking garage of our supermarket. We had never paid much attention to construction of the store itself, but yesterday realized that some of them are leaning even more radically inside as well. There must be some structural reason for this, but I’d have to say it’s a bit unnerving to see. I haven’t adjusted anything in the picture; this is what I saw while waiting to check out.

Bendigo, VIC, posted earlier:

that will have a reason for stability of the building I guess it's very peculiar BV

There is something about this that is far more puzzling to me than the slanted supports.
Why is there an opening in the store to the parking garage. Think of all the things that can get into the store: exhaust fumes, shoplifters, raccoons... the list goes on.

Interesting. Tie for a discussion with the manager!

Must be to code and passed inspection. Still might want to find another market to shop at.

There must be something built into the structure to allow for this. Quite unusual.

I am sure it was planned with safety issue carefully considered.

I can't imagine that if they were really unintentionally leaning, that they wouldn't have been noticed (except by your sharp eye!)

There must be reasons for that, very unusual scene.

That is indeed strange.

Yikes, that is unnerving but it must be part of the design.

Agree with Julie...Must be a reason for that.V.

It is strange, but probably needed for a structural reason.
