The giant cherry blossom

The National Cherry Blossom Festival is still going on and ends on Saturday with a parade down Constitution Avenue. We ran into this event in the Navy Yard district, but there was absolutely no place to park so I had to settle for a drive-by shot. I think this and other giant cherry blossoms will be set up in front of the Archives for the parade, so we’ll have to go down there before Saturday for a picture of all the decorations.

Looks like a really good turn out of people with their pamphlets, Helen. I like the large pink blossom too! V

Looks like the giant blossom has been anchored down to keep it from floating away. V

A great time of year for a celebration. Dust away the winter blahs.
