Gas station birdhouse

I was watching this while Tim was filling the tank up at a station in Virginia to see if the bird on top moved. It didn’t, so I went to take a picture of it and found the cardinal as well. Sort of an unusual looking birdhouse, I thought.

How interesting, great shot of it! V

They are an unusual pairing for sure. The kestrel would keep real birds away! That is a fun find though. V

Interesting, but not made by anyone with knowledge of birds - as a couple of people said about the kestrel.

Interesting, but certainly no real bird would use it with an American Kestrel on top! Neat find.

Wow! What a cool find. An unusual bird house with an alien face.

A cabin with two big owl eyes HOO! HOO!
Birds looking to nest should better contact AIR-B&B!

With this kind of nest, confusion is guaranteed! Undoubtedly an attractive and nice catch. V

an exceptional bird enclosure but that it will house real small birds I would doubt with the top decoration, still a nice find and nicely pictured BV

I would tend to think that songbirds might be intimidated & would avoid nesting here. In the "real world", the hawk would be eating the cardinal. Still, what an interesting find. It is a neat sculpture. I like the 3-D bird carvings on the front.
