Doge’s Palace

The Palazzo Ducale is a palace built in Venetian Gothic style and one of the main landmarks of the city of Venice. The palace was the residence of the doge of Venice, the supreme authority of the former republic. It was built in 1340 and extended and modified in the following centuries. It became a museum in 1923. (from Wikipedia)

Part of this building appears in other pictures, but it’s pretty magnificent and I think deserves a picture of its own.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly unsharp.

A very impressive palace - strange how most of the people appear to be stepping it out, like in a hurry !! V
