We used to have one lily in our front garden (no idea how it got there since I didn’t plant it), and now we have five. I can tell which ones are the newest volunteers by the small size of their stems.

I think I’ve photographed most the lilies and daylilies in the neighborhood, so this may be the last picture in the gallery for this year, but then you never know – maybe I’ll find a few more late bloomers!
