Postscript: 13,211 more US deaths in a week

The COVID memorial exhibition on the National Mall is closing today, so we went down there one more time just to take this picture. We were there exactly a week ago, when this sign read 687,764 COVID deaths in the United States.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly
unsharp.

staggering figures, and harrowing too...for comparison Canada total deaths stand at 27,974....taking the population discrepancy into account, the American death rate is 2 1/2 times higher than the Canadian... it seems the pandemic could have been handled better down your way, at least in the early days under the unruly government in power then.....
