Sunbathing

It was a good day for wildlife at the aquatic gardens – dragonflies, butterflies, fish, frogs and a turtle -- as well as birds and a lizard the time before.

We’ve now been to the Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens twice in the past month after keeping away during the worst (or the previous worst) of the pandemic. In addition to them being stunningly beautiful, it’s nice to see so many people there enjoying nature.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly
unsharp.

Good shot of what looks to be a Red-eared Turtle Helen. I've only seen one here once a few years back. It was probably an aquarium escape/throwaway, but it was seen in the same pond for a few years..
