A view of one of the many ponds at Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens, established in the 1880s by a Civil War veteran from Maine. It is now run by the National Park Service and encompasses 700 acres of water gardens, the largest remaining tidal marsh in Washington, D.C., ballfields and recreational facilities and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

We’ve now been to the Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens twice in the past month after keeping away during the worst (or the previous worst) of the pandemic. In addition to them being stunningly beautiful, it’s nice to see so many people there enjoying nature.
Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly
unsharp.
