The blue bird

Not the sharpest picture, but I’d really like to know what kind of bird this is. My own shot of it was from the rear, in which its head was very blue and its back was a bit raggedy. The only blue bird in my area guide that looks remotely like it (but much nicer looking in the book) is an indigo bunting.

*****

We haven't been to the aquatic gardens for a year due to the pandemic so decided to pay a visit in advance of their very popular (meaning very crowded) Lotus and Water Lily Festival, which takes place next weekend. It was nice to walk around the grounds once again, although we might have been a bit early for some of the flowers.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly
unsharp.

You definitely have an Indigo Bunting here Helen. Perhaps not on his sunday-best, but a fine catch just the same.
