The now-inaccessible Lafayette Square

This is Lafayette Square, which is situated immediately across from the White House. It’s a beautiful park with statues of several Revolutionary War heroes from Europe, including the Marquis de Lafayette. Now it’s been fenced off to the public, I guess to protect Trump from all the peaceful protesters who used to gather there.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly
unsharp.

Sad, but unfortunately a sign of our/your times. Hopefully your political scene and the covid pandemic will soon be in the past.

Lately I find all those funny things involving Trump on our news lovely to see, but then I wander how this is all possible in the Great USA. Biden will have a lot of work building up the US again to give back it's
credibility again. Hope the park will open back soon.

When you now need a high fence to surround the WH, and the streets and parks around it, it shows how scared Trump has become! I'm sure Biden will get them all removed.

Trump is hiding in his chicken coop/hen house and his bone spurs are sprouting.

A pity that the parc has been fenced off to the public. Sounds like a nice and interesting parc to walk. Great capture. !!V
