Decorated garage (continued on the building) in Blagden Alley, located in the Shaw neighborhood.
Artist Rose Jaffe says: "This mural was inspired by a more personal theme than most of my other work. The past few years have involved a deep dive into healing, both mentally and physically. After years of Western medicine, I turned toward Eastern modalities and empowered myself to embrace natural forms of healing from meditation to medicinal plants. The two flowers on the wall are arnica and echinacea – two powerful healing flowers. The idea of letting go – releasing the bird – is a symbol for releasing what no longer serves us, and allowing movement into new stages of life."
Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly
unsharp.
