On November 17, 1927 an F2 tornado with winds at 125 mph moved through Capitol Hill, damaging the rowhouses on the 1300 block of A Street, NE. Photo was taken from the restoration society’s website, original source Library of Congress (LOT 12354-2). See next picture for the houses today.
