B-52 Stratofortress flyover

Tim managed to get this shot of a B-52 bomber as it flew over Capitol Hill after the flyover at the White House and National Mall for the Fourth of July extravaganza. The B-52 was designed and built by Boeing and has been operated by the US Air Force since the 1950s.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

I love this shot a great airplane that has changed to meat the country's needs.
The Air Force is planning on keeping it operational at least into the 2050's.
The airplane is earning it's new nickname Stratosaurus!
