Learning to forage

This juvenile starling was following an adult around on the edge of the lake looking for food. Thanks to Tom Munson for the ID; it looked so different from the adult, I didn’t realize it was a starling!

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

As young birds often change colors after a while, ID is sometimes difficult. Great details in your shot.

Youngsters are so confusing to ID. You’ve caught this one so well learning the way to feed.

A very nice juvenile starling capture if anyone would know the ID Tom Munson would for sure.
Excellent close up a nice sharp shot with excellent bokeh.
My first look I did not think it was a starling.
