New bird on the alley

I’ve never seen a bird like this in our alley, but today there were several who kept coming back to my neighbor’s garage roof. I think this is a common grackle, which I’ve seen pictured on this site before, although I remembered the name as gackle ;-).

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

It looks like a female grackle. The aqua is showing on her head but it is faint - supposedly a characteristic of them. ~V~

Well, I hope the newcomers have some melodious sounds to share. Love the sleek head/neck feathers.

He (or she) seems to be angry about something. A very well timed capture. V

Yes, that's a Common Grackle. You've caught the iridescent colours on its head perfectly.
