I don’t think I’ve ever seen a chipmunk in DC, except maybe in cartoons, but Tim found one residing on the monastery grounds.

We went back to the Franciscan Monastery in NE Washington because last year there had been lots of butterflies in their garden, and quite frankly, because we couldn’t go anywhere else due to street closures everywhere for protests and other major gardens still being closed on account of the pandemic.
Unfortunately, we only saw one butterfly – maybe it’s too early? – but we enjoyed walking through the extensive grounds.
Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.
