A sad Easter in our garden

I’d like to wish all my Pbase friends a happy and healthy Easter. I hope that next time we celebrate this day, we’ll have been able to put this terrible time behind us.

On a personal note, we learned yesterday that Tim’s brother had died Friday night, in Washington State – the most shocking thing I’ve heard come out of Tim’s mouth in our nearly 40 years of marriage. There were concerns that it could have been from the coronavirus as he had been having trouble breathing (but thought it was due to his asthma). Even more worrying was the fact that Tim’s mother had seen him and his wife on Wednesday… His widow immediately got tested and it was negative, a huge relief, but Tim is unable to attend his brother’s funeral or be there to help his mother. One small example of the sad times we find ourselves in.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

I'm so sorry to hear this very sad news, Helen, compounded all the more by the current state of affairs. My best to both you and Tim on this day.

Oh no, Tim will be very upset that he cannot visit his own brothers funeral. Covid-19 has a lot to answer for, Helen. It has been very quiet where I live this Easter Sunday. V

Wonderful demonstration of the full frame shallow depth of feel - so effective for this beautiful image! V.
