Not to be forgotten

Just a follow-up to the previous picture -- ‘Electronic Superhighway’ -- in which I had left out Alaska and Hawaii. They were represented, but in an awkward place to include there. What I found interesting was that the movie “South Pacific” was playing on the monitors for Hawaii.

*****

Home to the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery and American Art Museum, the Old Patent Office was constructed in 1838-1867 and encompasses two city blocks. The museums reopened after a major renovation from 2000 to 2006

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

intriguing...yes Hawaii is in the North Pacific, but there likely is no movie with that name..
