Anzac Cove, Gallipoli Peninsula

Part of Anzac Cove, located on the Gallipoli Peninsula in northwestern Turkey, where the ANZACS (Australia and New Zealand Army Corps) landed on April 25, 1915, during World War I.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

Its looks attractive now, unlike once ... this is something of a sacred place for Australians. Not that I've been there, so it is good to see what it looks like.

It is such an innocent looking place. Hard to believe by looking at it all the important history that occurred there. Great POV and capture. ~BV~
