Ruins of the city of Troy

This is the archeological site of the ancient Greek city of Troy, founded in 3000 BC and abandoned in AD 500 and the scene of the Trojan War as described in the “Illiad.” There is actually a replica of the famous Trojan Horse at the site, which I photographed on another visit in 2005 http://pbase.com/helenpb/image/51760593 and following pictures.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.
