The obsessive coot

I didn’t know the identity of this bird, who appeared to be swimming sort of obsessively back and forth not far from us, so googled “duck gray body black head white bill” and found that it was an American coot. It was the first time I’ve ever seen one of them at Constitution Gardens.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.
