I had seen a picture of the New York State Capitol reflected in a pool, but there was no pool on any side of the building. We were ready to give up when Tim looked at our GPS and found that the pool, which I had concluded by then had been photoshopped into the picture, was located the next block over in a museum plaza. After a lot of driving around we finally found it; I jumped out of the car while he and Sahraa waited for 10 minutes in a no parking zone, and I got my picture.
The building was completed in 1899 at a cost of $25 million (equivalent to $753 million in 2018), making it the most expensive government building of its time.
Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.
