Lobster traps, Portland, Maine

A few captures from Portland, Maine, which is a working fishing port. I don’t eat seafood or fish at all, but I like seeing all the activity involved in catching and selling them.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

Beautiful shot of the harbor. Image composition and lighting are quite wonderful. Makes me long to go back to Maine for lobster just off the boat.

A nice view of the fishing port. I used to use on old wooden lobster trap as a coffee table back in the 70s.

Our tastes are exactly alike, I'll past on seafood! Like you, I find the how-it's-made process so fascinating . Great shot here, I can imagine the smells of the sea.

A lovely scene. We spent part of our honeymoon in that area and the 30th was our anniversary (52yr) so it was especially nice to see this fine photo.
