Dogs not welcome

It seems dogs aren’t welcome in Cape May until October 1, when the summer season is officially over. Sahraa subsequently jumped in this fountain on a pedestrian mall, after which some woman came up and said she wasn’t even supposed to be on the mall until next week. It’s the same with the beaches – no dogs until the beginning of next month, except for a “dog beach” some distance away. Sahraa is dying to go back to the beach across from our hotel (after we unknowingly trespassed yesterday), so we’ll take a ride out to the dog beach after I finish work.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

As long as Sahrra had fun I would not worry. Love the picture and find her a beach to enjoy. V

Time to mount a constitutional challenge!

I never heard of that kind of rule, but it looks like everyone is having fun despite that. ~BV~

They're very strict about not wanting dogs on the mall, yet we see them quite often. Love this capture! V

Ha, so funny that she jumped in the fountain. Can't believe some lady gave you a hard time! V

Welcome to New Jersey. Some rules are silly. Have a great time anyway.

la pauvre ! elle ne voulait que s'amuser sans déranger personne ! je ne comprends pas pourquoi on leur interdit la plage ! en général, malheureusement, les humains sont bien plus sales que les chiens sur nos belles plages !! v

Oh my! It seems a bit silly but they must have a reason. I hope you get a chancre to take her to the dog beach!

Silly human rules, dogs have no use for them. If there's water why would't you jump in? Love Sahraa's expression here.

Definitely unfair to Sahraa and to you. It’s a silly rule. V

This kind of policy is becoming increasingly common, sadly. It is particularly ridiculous to ban dogs from the mall! Poor Sahraa, she is probably thinking that given how sloppy people can be with their garbage and all sorts of worse things, she is the clean one! V

We have restrictions on many of our beaches, luckily ours has several sections where dogs are allowed.

I can almost see one beach off limits (some people don't pick up after their dogs) but the mall? Good grief, was it overrun with dogs? I hardly see any people in the shot. Poor Sahraa.

Shoot- humans have all the fun.

What a great moment!
There is a lot going on with pose, expression and gesture here!

Seems like a stupid rule to me! I hope you are enjoying your vacation!
