From hole in the ground to prime destination

This Marriott hotel was only a hole in the ground when we left Riyadh, as was the Radisson Blue, where Tim stayed. The Diplomatic Quarter is really becoming a destination, with two hotels and numerous restaurants, whereas when we moved to the DQ in 2013 there were diplomats’ houses, quite a few public gardens, many embassies, three mosques and one restaurant.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

The light is neat and I like seeing what they did with the landscaping.
