Sobering thoughts about Sri Lanka...

The terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka today really exemplify why Tim’s extensive travels for the State Department worry me. He had stayed at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel, where there was an explosion in the first floor restaurant. This egret was one of his pictures from Colombo that I hadn’t posted.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

Wow, that is much too close for comfort. It is extremely disconcerting to see such violence breaking out. Nonetheless, this egret suggests a happier time. V

Nice shot, Tim. Yes, Tim is at risk at some of the places he travels.

your concern is well placed...bombing a hotel restaurant suggests foreign nationals are being targeted as well as locals....there are crazy, hate-filled people everywhere, a sad aspect of the contemporary world..
