Two among many

It sure is lonely here with comments shut off – I miss my Pbase friends!

But since my hand won’t tolerate deleting thousands of spam comments again, I’m going to keep my settings at disabled until this hack of Pbase is stopped. A lot of people have complained in the forum about this http://forum.pbase.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=48692&sid=9b34703fd7ee87475e72f1d0d6141d13 , and responses from many Pbase friends indicate that they’ve received spam comments as well. One person set his account to accept no comments from anybody, and he still got spammed.

I can’t help but wonder where Pbase management is in all of this – not a peep has been heard from them AFAIK.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

We thought about going to see the famous Japanese cherry blossoms at the Tidal Basin on Saturday, but peak bloom is Monday and already the place was literally packed, with parking nonexistent, streets near the Mall gridlocked and bridges to Virginia (from where there’s a view) jammed. So we decided to go instead to the National Arboretum to see their large collection of cherry trees as well as their magnolias, both of which were in full bloom. It may not have been as spectacular as the Tidal Basin, but it certainly was a lot more peaceful, and beautiful as well.

Not as crowded as the famous Tidal Basin, posted earlier:
