This is the last of the orchids, with one more left of the venue to post. I’d like to go back to see the rest of the exhibit, but perhaps without the temptation of a camera as I’ve probably already gone overboard with orchid pictures!

We went to the opening day of “Orchids: Amazing Adaptations,” a joint collaboration with Smithsonian Gardens, the United States Botanic Garden, the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the National Portrait Gallery. The installation showcases how orchids have adapted to their many different environments and can be found on every single continent except Antarctica. We only managed to look at a bit more than a quarter of the exhibit, so I’m sure we’ll be going back to see the rest of it.
Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.
