Radical crop of the crop

This image has been cropped to a tiny fraction of the original (around 1.23 percent, or 1/81 of the total picture). Maybe could be sharper, but considering the radical crop, I think it didn’t come out too badly. (See previous picture for the original image.) I just wanted to see how far I could go with that large sensor!

After much indecision, I finally bought the Nikon Z7 mirrorless camera along with the Z 24-70 lens (plus an adapter for other Nikon lenses). I've never used mirrorless before so am viewing this whole thing as an experiment. There really isn't much interesting to photograph around Capitol Hill in winter, but I need to test out the camera and see how it performs, thus this gallery of whatever I could find to capture that hopefully isn’t too boring ;-).

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.
