The never-ending task of autumn

We have the strangest looking tree in front of our house, extremely tall and skinny with two main “branches” although the second one isn’t too obvious here. Luckily half of its leaves have dropped, meaning I only have a few more sessions outside sweeping them up. Then I can start with the leaves from the huge trees across the street, which all seem to blow on our side of the block. Oh, and then there’s the backyard, into which my neighbor’s big trees drop all their leaves.

Still trying out the new iPhone. I had heard they improved ISO capabilities on it, but I have no idea why this brilliant picture would require ISO 5000!

End of an era, posted earlier:

Yes, it is quite surprising to see this photo of the same tree now, taken two days earlier. V

It’s unusual for sure but very beautiful color. I hate raking leaves ! V

We had a tree, similar to this one. A Sweet Gum tree. It was tall and skinny and unremarkable, except for the Autumn color. Tom cut it down last month. We had to make room for our Oak which has spread out. V

A most neighbourly endeavor Helen - send and/or share your bounty with all-around. We live at the end of a street and every year it seems that the westerly winds deliver all of our neighbors leaves to our yard where they come to rest against a chain-link fence. Keeps me fit though. LOL

I love that look - fall crossing over into a hint of winter. Where I live, we barely have any trees let alone ones that drop leaves! V

nice contrast with the blue sky.V.

Brilliant light and colors. Interesting how the leaves are completely gone from some parts and others are still full of them.
