'The skies opened up, and the nation wept for John McCain'

I apologize for the poor quality of this image, but it was such an amazing moment I simply had to post it.

I was in the kitchen getting coffee when I suddenly heard some huge noise coming from the TV, which was showing Senator John McCain’s casket being carried up the stairs to the US Capitol.

It was a torrential downpour that started at that very moment, here as well as there, and even though I’m located only 11 blocks from the Capitol, I could see blue sky.

I don’t subscribe to “signs,” but it seemed as though the nation was weeping for Senator McCain, a sentiment interestingly echoed by a CNN commentator.

The rain stopped as soon as he was brought into the Rotunda, and it’s sunny again.

Really red, posted earlier:

The nation is definitely crying for Senator McCain. I saw the moment on TV and thought it was a sign. Let's hope there are some young people ready to fill his shoes...they are very big shoes to fill. Rest in Peace John McCain and thank you for your service to our country.

How strange ! You did a great job capturing the moment - even if the quality isn't the best BV

He is forever enshrined in the pantheon of those who've marked the history of the United States. A great man who will be an example to follow for us all.
