A peek into the life of Mr. & Mrs. Vulture (2)

This image and the previous one are clearly not the greatest shots, taken at a huge distance across the Potomac River, and with the Sony at that, but I’ve decided to post them anyway just because I found this peek into vulture life interesting. I’m assuming they’re a couple.

I have a Black Vulture pair at my office. For the past 6 years! They nest on the roof, right above my desk. From my window, I see them cone and go several times a day and hear the chick running around now.. They do mate for life, but they will find a new partner if a mate dies. They meet up to mate, often arriving at different times. A lot of our customers are frightened of them, not so good.
