Mardin is a city in the Southeast of Turkey, known for its historic architecture. Part of a Hurrian kingdom in the Late Bronze Age, it was absorbed into Assyria during the Middle Assyrian Empire (1365-1020 B.C.). The entire city has been listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site under the “Mardin Cultural Landscape.”
