Spots and stripes

Well, I couldn’t resist and in fact did go back yet again to the “orchids: A MOMENT” exhibit at the Smithsonian’s Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden. It’s a good thing I did – there were some very exotic new orchids on display. Something I learned was that the Smithsonian Garden has more than 8,000 orchid species in its collection, although I don’t think they’ll all be exhibited here (or this gallery will never end ;-)).

I think you've been bitten by the orchid bug. Better to enjoy them in a greenhouse - they're hard to grow!
