15-FEB-2017 A very creative colleague

The mouse queen

We have recently had a serious problem with mice in the house; in the space of 24 hours on Monday, when we had that vicious windstorm, we caught nine of the little monsters. One had gotten its tail caught in a trap and was dragging it around the house… Good thing Tim was home because I wouldn't have known what to do (after I had fainted). Today some people came (for the third time) and plugged up and calked gaps between the floor and baseboards, so I’m hoping that will stop the influx to a great extent.

Anyway, my colleagues online have been putting up with my hysterical stories about the invasion, and one of them created this cute image. I wasn’t aware he even knew about my abaya gallery!

Are you sure they are mice, or the more common home invaders RATS!! You have a clever and creative friend.

LOL Sorry you're having a mouse problem but the collage is really clever and funny. GMV.

Well done! You look like a commander from Star Wars leading her charges into
battle against the evil rat empire. V

Oh deary me, Helen what a commotion! Not one but nine of them lol and the one with its tail trapped just cracked me up...sorry...I love the picture though lol...

We have been having the same problem here! There is a new development going up in the neighborhood and I think they're all trying to find new homes. The one cat we still have is not a mouser either. We've been setting traps, but I feel bad every time we catch one.

My laugh of the day Helen :) Mice are a way of life in this neck of the woods :) You only have to leave a door ajar for a very short while without one or two finding their way in :(

Love this!! Very fun. They can be a pain and difficult to get rid of. V

Love the humor but I also wish you luck as they can be difficult to remove. Globalgadabout has a good point about the dangers mice can bring even though this is very rare. In the wild they are great but I would prefer not in the house. V

I'm sorry but I just had to laugh when I saw this....I'm with you...we had a mouse in our house once and Charlie found me standing on top of the toilet screaming. Of course he was laughing hysterically! I hate the idea of trapping and killing them but I don't want them living where I am living! Hope they were able to solve your problem. Did Sahraa prove herself to be a hunter?

Hopefully this mouse problem will be resolved very shortly

What a great collage your colleague made! I don't mind the occasional visitor - but nine! that's excessive!
exzim15-Feb-2017 21:44
we get them at this time of the year as they come in to find food and shelter, Unfortunately .for them, we used exterminators who rid us of the problem. Your image is great though, very descriptive

What a lovely image. I confess to liking these little creatures and every so often have to rescue them from my cats who seem to just carry them around, unhurt thank goodness, and then I release them back into the house! Indeed, I have a special fondness for all rodents!
Raymond15-Feb-2017 20:22
My cats LOOOOVE them! Sahraa, get busy! LOL
Claude Gagnon15-Feb-2017 19:56
You don't like these nice little ones? Me neither!!
Amusing presentation Helen :))
Jim Coffman15-Feb-2017 19:54
Aren't they cute!! We live in a rural area and every fall we have to watch out for the little beggars!
globalgadabout15-Feb-2017 19:22
what a lively and charming montage...one mouse has recently been checking out my apartment...the little squirt does not seem too threatening, yet there is always the risk of diseases like hantavirus...good luck on the rodent front..
