Seems a bit early to me!

Granted, we have spent the last three years in Saudi Arabia, where any open display of Christmas could get you arrested, so I haven’t seen any real holiday decorations for a while. But I don’t remember them going up in stores quite this early (taken on Oct. 9)! It will be nice, however, to have a Christmas tree this year, something that I’ve missed.

Christmas 'used to be' a family time, a religious time for some but today ... it has become so commercialized, just a money making machine, it lost 95% of its original purpose. I too saw some X-Mas decos at Costco ... sell sell sell and sell some more!

Christmas used to be a day. Then it stretched to a long weekend. And now it is a whole season.

It is a present for waiting those three years.

Ah yes, when I see the Christmas decorations start to appear in stores then I know that it's almost time for Halloween!

We are going to the beach tomorrow probably for the last time this year. Perhaps it is time for my Elf swim suit. Not!

Early? Some stores begin putting Christmas crap out in July, but September seems to be more the norm. Thank goodness Nordstrom waits until Black Friday.
Very pretty captures Helen! V

Yep, we've got Christmas stuff in our grocery stores, too. They'll have Easter eggs on sale next week, no doubt! Commercialism gone mad.
globalgadabout17-Oct-2016 22:39
early indeed, but anything for a buck....if only store owners realized how garish and greedy their displays can seem..

They push it more and more every year...
