Tokyo phenomenon

This is a very interesting phenomenon in Tokyo – political candidates campaigning in trucks, on very loud loudspeakers. Quite frankly, they’re obnoxious, but people seem to put up with them. This one caught my eye because the person was Okinawan, but running for office in Tokyo. The sign says he is Arakasa Shigeo, chief secretary of the Okinawa Shakai Taishuto, a socialist party (I hope ;-)).

Well I guess that's one way to campaign. You should be glad you are not here right now having to listen to all the pre election jabbering that is going on! V
