National Building Museum

Trying out yet another compact camera. I suppose it's ironic because now I have this little collection of P&S cameras for a place that I may not be able to use them. The guy at the Sony store has worked throughout the Middle East as a videographer and told me to forget trying to take any pictures in the actual city of Riyadh. He said the religious police will in fact take and break your camera if you're caught. Maybe I'll just photograph the more boring Diplomatic Quarter where we'll be living... I think (hope) that's OK.

To my opinion, you should not bring yourself in trouble to take a photo. I'm sure you will find a suitable subject within the Diplomatic quarter.

This may be a blessing in disguise. Perhaps you will enjoy sitting down to study lynda.com Photoshop (or Lightroom) how-to videos and hone your editing skills. You may find you actually enjoy it!

Bummer, bummer, bummer! Maybe your sweet pooch will get use to having her picture taken!

Nice detail, Helen. I like the color saturation as well. Should be a fun little camera to use. How often is a totally different can of worms.
