Starbucks bride (Portland, Oregon)

This was taken in Portland, Oregon, not Washington, D.C., but since these are all sort of test shots with the Leica I'm including it and others from Portland in this gallery.

Not sure exactly how I did this -- I don't think I focused on the bridesmaid (but maybe I did), but she seems to be in focus whereas the bride and groom are not. In any case, I liked the result. We were having latte at Starbucks when this bridal party stopped by. Maybe the bride or groom worked there, I don't know, but they stayed for quite a while, then departed with beverages in hand.

Leica LEICA X2
1/250s f/5.6 at 24.0mm iso1600 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

I think your focus is just perfect for this kind of shot, Helen. I'd try a few more cameras just to be sure. All black, small and fast for quick shots. V

Indeed, the attention goes to the red dress. But this unusual focus makes this picture dynamic. V

Very nice moment well seen and captured, Helen. Those little Leica's can be less intimidating and quite handy for great shots like this one.

Nice photo!

the main thing is that you haven't aimed directly at the couple so as to be intrusive; that and the red dress (and its contents!) become the real focal point of the composition. I wonder if they are sisters.

But this is even better and has the famous Leica look of 3D! Be happy!

It is still quite good! I like it very much!
