This is a modern rock salt sculpture of Pope John Paul II, which I had to photograph on the run because my husband said our tour group was getting way ahead of us. Upon hearing that, I snapped the picture at whatever setting and ran for fear of getting separated again. A little before that I had been lagging behind taking pictures in a tunnel when suddenly, none of our tour group was in sight. We we sure they had gone through a door, but when we tried to open the door in front of us, it wouldn't budge. I started panicking -- stuck in a very cool mine shaft deep underground, no way to call anybody, no more tour groups coming through -- I couldn't believe it. Finally we found the right door, which while very heavy, we managed to open and rejoined our group. I had been apprehensive about going down into the mine at all, but this was the only time that I got pretty worried about the whole thing.
