Eger: Heart of Hungary's Wine Country

The city of Eger, located in the Northern Highlands, is famous for its Egri Bikavér, or Bull's Blood wine. It also has a castle that held out against an Ottoman siege for six weeks, at which point the Turks retreated, only to return 44 years later and finally take it.
