We had only two full and two partial days in this fascinating city, but tried to do as much as we could. Amsterdam is a very vibrant city, and I'd go back any time, but we found it difficult to get around mainly because of the bicyclists, who were aggressive and everywhere in incredible numbers. It's a very walkable city, but the central area is far larger than I ever imagined, and it was pretty cold in April, which really surprised me. I can also see why they have a lot of windmills in the Netherlands ;-). Still, a beautiful place with marvelous architecture and the most wonderful canals I've ever seen. And I must say, some of the friendliest people anywhere in the world.
