Genesis 3:19
In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

Unless otherwise noted, all photos were taken on the Big Island of Hawaii. Title georeferences can be used as locators with an accuracy of +/- 10 m.
The white stones used for lettering in some of the photos are actually pieces of coral taken from beaches and set against the dark lava rock.

As long as the carnage on our highways continues this unfortunate gallery will never end.

This is a difficult gallery to visit but you have dealt with this painful subject with respect and your pictures are dignified, as well as sad.
Your technique echoes the greyness felt by the bereaved.

This is nice work Dave. Very powerful imagery. Some people may turn their noses up at selective coloring, but I think that it works very well here. Very sad too.
