Photos taken from a Big Island Airlines Caravan during an unusual period of activity at the Pu'u O vent. Scale is difficult to convey from an altitude of approximately 6,000 ft, but some of the orange active flows are probably 200' to 300' wide. The distance the flow has travelled from the cauldera is probably in the range of 3-5 miles.
