pins

There are many ways to cut dovetails. Everything on this project will all be cut and fit by hand.
For this first set of pins I cut the verticals with a custom dovetail saw and chopped the waste out
with bench chisels.

The next set of pins will have the verticals cut again with the dovetail saw but the waste will be
removed using a coping saw. I want to try both methods and see which is quicker and produces the best
results. I already know how long it takes to chop with chisels. But I also like this result.

There are three more sets of pins like this to do yet. Then the tails will get laid out and cut.

I would never have the patience for this! The few I have tried were just straight finger joints and that almost drove me all the way up the wall! You are the Norm of Kona!
