I'm always worried about damage to my bamboo flooring.
So I came up with this foot design. It uses carpet material contact cemented to 2x2's.

Great idea! I still wouldn't move them much though after they are set up, my luck has always been that after a month or years, the glue tends to let loose! Never tried carpet though!
