Rogue River, OR

During the last weekend in June, the folks in the Rogue Valley bring their roosters to town. The rooster who crows the most in a half hour period wins the booty! Dating back to 1953, there's nothing like it. Very funky and down home tradition! They used to have a rent-a-rooster booth for those without a fowl, but sadly that has been discontinued. A more spectator-involving human rooster crowing contest has been added.
