Shoes began appearing tossed up into a dead tree on Cline Road north of Tumalo in the mid 2010's. Photos showed the extent to which the tree was being inundated with discarded shoes, including a clear Google Maps street view image of the tree. Some time since these photos were taken, the tree has been cut down and most of the shoes removed. Sometimes when a shoe tree is destroyed the shoes are moved to another donor tree, but if that's the case here the replacement tree has yet to be located or identified.
